SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for supporting manufacturing needs as well as operating assigned machining equipment and all other associated work including preventative maintenance, machine changeovers, and making minor adjustments by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Loads raw material and removes completed parts from CNC equipment
• Operates basic function of the CNC control to start machine cycle
• Performs basic inspection using various measurement tools: caliper, micrometer, pin gauge, thread gauge.
• Deburing of finished parts.
• Count and placement of completed parts into segregated trays.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: basic CNC controls.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Completion of a machinist operator’s apprenticeship program preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess basic knowledge of machines and tools with regard to safety, use and repair.
Must possess the knowledge of applicable health and safety standards applicable to work environment
Must possess basic knowledge of the language and terminologies used in this occupation.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a team
Ability to use measuring equipment
Ability to operate machinery
At least one (1) year of work-related experience preferred.
Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
May require some travel on an as needed basis.
