SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for performing activities related to the inspection of medical devices using a variety of inspection equipment including; micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparator and CMM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Generates inspection record and records general part information
• Performs inspection based on specified inspection technique; comparator, gauge, micrometer, caliper, CMM, etc.
• Documents readings from inspection points
• Generates “non-conforming reports” for parts which do not meet specification.

COMPETENCIES:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
• Ability to read and understand of blueprints/manufacturing drawings
• Ability to use metrology equipment including; micrometers, calipers, comparators, gauges. Experience with CMM is preferred.
• Understanding of GD&T

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or AA degree Preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
