A New way to

Next Orthosurgical is a medical device company specializing in development, manufacturing and distribution of next generation spinal implants. The company is headquartered in Vista, CA and is a division of a multi-billion dollar Japanese corporation with offices worldwide. 

We are in rapid expansion mode as we look to launch several organically developed 510(K) cleared spinal implants. Combined with a sound acquisition and licensing strategy, our goal is to become a full-line spinal implant & biologics company servicing customers worldwide. 

Vision & Mission

We are a proud “Made in the USA” implant manufacturer and recently expanded our manufacturing capacity and purchased multiple technologically advanced machines. We also have plans to create hip & knee and orthopedic trauma implants for the future.

Product Development

Next Orthosurgical’s foundation is based on sound product development processes and engineering talent. The highly specialized engineering staff communicates with clinical professionals to efficiently iterate design concepts throughout the development process. Internal prototyping capabilities allow engineers the ability to produce tangible concepts which can be immediately evaluated. Product development is the basis of Next Orthosurgical.

Next Orthosurgical maintains a significant production operation which supports the sale and distribution of products including; machining, finishing, clean room packaging, quality control, and logistics. State of the art manufacturing equipment and processes allow for complete control of product quality, lead-time and cost.

Our History

Introducing the InterfuseTM large footprint implant system. What makes the system unique is our proprietary intraoperative assembly technology, which allows surgeons to implant a large footprint device through a minimally invasive approach – reducing trauma and accelerating healing.

2011

Next Orthosurgical establishes a new office location in Vista, California. The goal is to position the company in close vicinity to San Diego, Orange County and the inland communities such as Temecula and other neighboring cities. This So Cal location serves as the companies North American head quarters and manufacturing facility.

2011

NEXMED INTERNATIONAL and NEXT ORTHOSURGICAL; Established: August 19th, 2011

February, 2020

Next Orthosurgical acquires the assets of Vertebral Technology Incorporated (VTI)- Minnetonka, MN. VTI was the developer of InterFuse, which is modular expansion interbody device allowing surgeons to customize the implant to fit the unique shape of each patient’s vertebrae. Upon acquisition, VTI had sold over 7,000 InterFuse devices worldwide with 140 trained surgeons. Next Orthosurgical has designs to seek FDA approval for a 3D Titanium printed model of the InterFuse device.

Bioskills lab

We have plans to build a state-of-the-art cadaver/bioskills training center at our recently acquired building adjacent to our corporate headquarters in Vista, CA. The multi-station lab and conference center will provide Next Orthosurgical the opportunity to train surgeons, distributors and employees on our existing and emerging technologies.
